Svenskt Rhinologiskt Sällskap (SRS)
Svenskt Rhinologiskt Sällskap (SRS) är en intresseförening för näs-bihålesjukdomar och deras behandling. SRS bildades den 30/9 1993 i Skövde på initiativ av Hans Rundcrantz, Björn Petruson, Lars Malm och Börje Drettner. ”SRS skall verka för att förbättra kunnandet om näsan och bihålornas anatomi och fysiologi samt diagnostik och behandling av sjukdomar och deformiteter i näsa och bihålor. Sällskapet skall dessutom stimulera till utvecklingsarbete och forskning inom området.”
Sällskapet är öppet för alla ÖNH-kollegor och särskilt för ST-läkare under utbildning. (Man känner sig således kallad, snarare än att man blir kallad). Sällskapet träffas en gång per år under gemytliga former. Svenskt Rhinologiskt Sällskap bistår Svensk Förening för Otorhinolaryngologi samt huvud och halskirurgi, som expertpanel i frågor rörande näs och bihålesjukdomar och som referensgrupp för det Europeiska Rhinologiska Sällskapet.
Medlemskap i ERS
Medlemskap i ERS, som tidigare skett automatiskt i samband med att man anmälde sig till mötet kommer framöver att administreras annorlunda gentemot tidigare år. Olika regelverk gör att medlemskapet i ERS inte får hanteras på det viset som tidigare skett, utan förslag ligger just nu om att framöver fattas beslut varje årsmöte om närvarande medlemmar, som så önskar, kan anmälas som medlemmar även i ERS.

The Liverpool Advanced FESS Course | 10 – 12 September 2025
This course builds on the foundations laid at the Sinus Anatomy and Surgery Instructional Course and is therefore a seemless transition for those who have previously attended the basic course. The Advanced FESS Course is tailored to ENT doctors (ST6 – ST8, Speciality Doctors, Associate Specialists, Senior Clinical Fellows) who are at the latter part of their training or require training in more advanced endoscopic sinus procedures. The course programme is designed to be clincally-focused and is aligned to the ISCP ENT curriculum.
The course aims to enhance existing competencies with particular emphasis on safe techniques in endoscopic sinus surgery. The surgical concepts of the Full-House FESS will be taught, as will peri-operative management to optimise clinical outcomes. In addition, the course programme will include CSF leak repair, introduction to frontal sinus surgery and management of intra-operative complications. Unlike other courses, the CSF leak module simulates an active leak thereby enhancing the realism of this training module.
The course programme is mapped to the ISCP curriculum and includes up to 14 hours in the laboratory. Delegates will have assigned trainers throughout the course and are expected to be assessed against relevant endoscopic sinus surgery simulated PBAs on the ISCP curriculum. The programme provides ample time for paced, structured learning as well as close interaction with experienced faculty to achieve professional development goals necessary for all senior ENT trainees and generalists.
Surgical dissection will be undertaken on Fusetec 3-D printed models in the state-of-the-art Human Anatomy and Resource Centre of the University of Liverpool.
